Just now on stage, now in our restaurant. Jacek Adam Iskrowicz's first love is music: singing and guitar. It's in his genes: his father performed on the big stages in Poland and played real rock music. But he also owned a hotel, so Jacek learned hotel management, became a hospitality manager, and continued to play in pubs, on the streets and on stages in southern Baden. Since marrying his wife in 2017, however, he has become a little calmer. But not boring. You have never been served as charmingly and smoothly as you are by him. And with such an interesting CV, Jacek is guaranteed never to run out of entertaining anecdotes.

There's late sleepers and then there's morning people like Veronika Wagner. Immediately up, in a great mood, and sees the important things. She's managed the most important meal of the day at our hotel since 2011. And since, we at the Fini-Resort are a little obsessed with breakfast, it takes an allrounder with five arms and six eyes like Mrs. Wagner. She gets her energy as an athletic mother of two adult daughters by running and doing Tai-Chi, reading crime and thriller novels. Born in the ‘Markgräflerland', she's sure guests are vacationing in the most beautiful area of Germany. She recommends seeing Staufen. A great spot for an afternoon coffee: Café Decker or Chocolatery Axel Sixt. At these spots, she'll let others take care of her for a change.

Where to start with Rita, one of our originals? Maybe in 1950 in Veerßen, district of Uelzen (Lower Saxony), where she was born. The lady from North Germany has lived in South Germany for over 50 years, she can't remember exactly how long, "I'd have to look in my notebook." After a few stops in Cologne, she first went to Pforzheim, then she worked in the nuns' sanatorium in Bad Krozingen for 10 years, where she met her husband. A nuns' sanatorium and meeting your future husband? You'll have to ask her about that yourself. She then worked for an incredible 33 years at the "Kellner's Spa" sanatorium in Badenweiler, before getting hired by the Fini-Resort in 2016. As guests you usually see the busy Rita at breakfast, always available for a chat. In her private life, too, she lives according to the motto "whoever rests, rusts": she likes to swim and hike or walk her dog. Pension? That word does not appear in the vocabulary of our favorite lady.

Anastasia has been working in our breakfast service since 2020. Before that, the native Russian was traveling in Canada and the USA. Thanks to "Work and Travel" she got to know the world of gastronomy there. In 2011 she came to Germany and became the mother of two daughters. After a break, she has been using her knowledge professionally every morning at the Fini-Resort. In her free time, Anastasia likes to ride her bike and go on family trips. If there is still some time left, she spends it with her books.

Born in Saxony, Kristin moved to beautiful Markgräflerland in the early 2000s to do an apprenticeship as a hotel manager. Our Kristin is passionate about gastronomy, after all she has been working in this field her entire life. But there was one nice exception (or time out): For five years she was a full-time loving mother of two sons. Now she supports our service team again with full passion. Private passions? Volleyball and time with friends - gladly with delicious food.

Zsuzsanna was born in Serbia and has been in Germany since 2019. The rather calm soul has been working in our service department since 2020. There's always action at home, no wonder with 3 children, even if one of them has already moved out. She says with conviction that she is first and foremost a mother and housewife and that she is particularly good at cooking. Szuszanna's hobbies are more practical: she uses beading to make small dolls, bracelets and other crafts. Her previous jobs were also creative, including being a photographer.
