The Largest and Smallest Sauna in Badenweiler
For our hotel technicians Antek, Tomasz, and Piotr it was a big deal when, in 2016, construction on the outdoor sauna started. A large truck brought massive Kelo wood trunks directly from Finland, a crane lifted them into the hotel park. Then our guys built a large sauna house, the largest near and far. Designed completely by the hotel, except for the oven which was manufactured by a local company.
25 guests can comfortably fit inside and sweat the real Finnish way at 90 degrees Celsius. The 300-year-old wood has a smoky, resinous fragrance. Our spa manager, Ingo Andreß, creates legendary sauna infusions: a spectacular experience.
Two Hot in the Barrel Sauna
The opposite of the Finnish sauna, our adorable mini sauna in a barrel, is twelve meters wide. Only four people can fit inside, two are even better. And here Ingo won't bother you …
Regardless of the sauna you choose, afterwards guest meet in the Roman inspired relaxation area. In summer our sunbathing lawn is also a hotspot.
The few real winter days Badenweiler receives per year are spectacular. Then you can frolic in the snow to your heart's content.
