If you grow up in your parents' restaurant, you'll become a chef. If you do your apprenticeship in a restaurant with a Michelin star, you'll become a great chef. That's our head chef Karsten Kleinjung. But there are things that are more important to him than Michelin star cuisine: his family and his own special way of cooking, with regional high-quality products. And that's exactly what the father of five daughters has been doing at the Fini-Resort since its opening. Born in 'Gummersbach' he has cooked for Bill Clinton, Mario Adorf, and Michael Jackson but: "to live my kitchen, my philosophy and to have space to create what I want - that's what I have here at the Fini-Resort". You can taste that in his food.

Riadh Jouini

If, in the evening, you taste not only sweet flavours but also joie de vivre, élan and passion at dessert, Riadh Jouini has certainly been wielding the wooden spoon. The fact that the Tunisian is standing at the cooker in the Fini Resort is a stroke of luck, because he was initially very successful as a mechanical engineer. A company car, a 13th month's salary, a management position - but the stress was eating away at his marital bliss. And so he started all over again: as a kitchen assistant. Seven years later, he is a sous-chef, happily married with two children and Fini's secret weapon for delicately melting dessert dreams. Four languages, a talent for handicrafts (you can buy his indoor fountains from us) and a Black Forest gateau to make you go weak - what can't the always good-humoured chef actually do?

Ulrich Keul

Short Bio

Our very own Uli was born in Lörrach and lives in Kandern these days (20 km away) - a real South-Baden original. And a Fini veteran as well! He started as sous chef when Fini-Resort opened in 2011. After a break, he rejoined our team two years ago and is now a breakfast chef. With that he's got more time for his fleet, since Uli loves stylish, fast cars and motorbikes. Just the right hobby in our hilly and curvy area! This also applies to his mountain bike, which he likes to use (also the fast way). What else he loves: dogs.

Musa Camara

Short Bio

Life is unpredictable. Our trainee cook from The Gambia can tell you a thing or two about that. Musa first completed an apprenticeship as a tailor in his home country. When the situation in Gambia deteriorated, he didn't think twice and fled to Europe on a boat. He has been in Germany since 2015 and has been with us at the Fini-Resort since 2018. His passion for cooking won't leave him alone even after work. When he gets home after his day at work, he leafs through cookbooks and watches videos by star chefs on the Internet. After all, you never stop learning.

Nedal Al Raees

Kitchen Asisstant

Short Bio

Nedal comes from Syria and has been in Germany for eight years. He has been working at the Fini-Resort for around two years. Here he is the busy kitchen fairy in the background, without whom nothing works: he washes, he chops, he peels potatoes. Nedal, his wife and their four children can sometimes be found in the swimming pool; splashing around in the water and swimming lengths is their common hobby. When the vegetables are cut particularly bite-sized, think for a moment of our Nedal, who is busy working not far away.

Vladut Doroican

Kitchen Asisstant

Short Bio

As a dishwasher, Vladut is one of the hard-working helpers in the background, without whom nothing would work in the Fini-Resort's everyday life. He was born in Romania in 1997 and has only been in Germany since November 2022. In his homeland he was a car mechanic, so cars are one of his passions. He also likes to cook and now wants to gain a foothold in Germany and really settle in. Of course, this also includes learning the German language. He already knows a few words and his nice smile is internationally understandable anyway.
